To keep your Lawns looking Green & Healthy,
Shire Lawns can apply Tailored Treatments all year round.
Spring Boost
Our Spring Boost is often applied from March to Early May, but like all of our Treatments they are Tailored to suit the conditions and the Lawn or Sports Turf we are caring for.

Our Spring Treatments includes Feeds and if required your 1st Selective Herbicide Treatment of the new season.
​
We like to use a Granular based Fertiliser this time of year that delivers plant available nitrogen in cooler conditions that many other cold start fertilizers cannot offer. With high iron and calcium, your turf health and presentation receive a rapid Spring Boost.
​
If weeds are creeping in to your grass, to control these we will apply a selective herbicide treatment. Our selective herbicides are safe to grass and can control a wide range of broad-leaved weeds including many difficult weeds in Lawns, Sports Turf or any amenity grassland.
​
Spring is also a great time for Aeration, Scarification, Overseeding, Top Dressing, Pest & Disease Control and Wetting Agents.
Summer Boost
Our Summer Boost is often applied from May to June, but like all of our Treatments they are Tailored to suit the conditions and the Lawn or Sports Turf we are caring for.

Our Summer Boost Treatment can include Granular/Liquid Feeds and if required a Selective Herbicide Treatment to control any weeds.
​
We like to use a slow-release granular feed that will encourage healthy looking grass that can be strong enough to withstand any wear and tear during these busy months. A professional Feed that will promote root growth, disease and drought resistance as well as giving your turf a much-wanted boost in colour!
Our Liquid Feeds can include Seaweed based products to improve the general health, strength and colour of your Lawn or Sports Turf.

Summer is also a great time to take advantage of our Wetting Agents to protect your Lawn or Sports Turf from any potential lengthy dry periods.
Summer Deep
Our Summer Deep is often applied from July to August, but like all of our Treatments they are Tailored to suit the conditions and the Lawn or Sports Turf we are caring for.
​
Our Summer Deep Treatment can include Granular/Liquid Feeds and if required a Selective Herbicide.
​
As we head deep into the summer our grass can be put under extra stress, whether that be from extra foot traffic or the Heat and any prolonged dry spells. Growth may start to slow (providing our seasons are consistent), colour of the grass may start to fade and become more straw-like but this is natural and only due to lower moisture levels.
​
Should this be the case we at Shire Lawns would look to apply a slow-release fertiliser that will encourage your Lawn or Sports Turf to bounce back from any summer stress. This feed will provide your grass with a thicker sward that will protect it from any further wear and tear as well as pushing a deep green appearance.
​
Our Seaweed based products can also be used at this time of year, either as an alternative or to work alongside our Granular feeds to improve the general health, strength and colour of your Lawn or Sports Turf.

Summer is also a great time to take advantage of our Wetting Agents to protect your Lawn or Sports Turf from any potential lengthy dry periods.
Autumn Boost
Our Autumn Boost is often applied from September to November, but like all of our Treatments they are Tailored to suit the conditions and the Lawn or Sports Turf we are caring for.

Our Autumn Feeds can be Foliar based (liquid feed that is applied directly to the leaves) or applied in Granular format – this way we can apply in all conditions, but only if the conditions are right for the Treatment and the Grass.
​
During Autumn, we at Shire Lawns like to encourage a Boost of minerals to the Turf we are caring for – minerals acting in the same way as vitamins we like to take to ward off colds and flu.
​
The Autumn Boost for all turf surfaces that promotes root development, both mass and length, whilst delivering outstanding long-term colour and improving cell strength to improve disease tolerance. This treatment will also maximise photosynthesis in the darker months.
Autumn is also a great time for Aeration, Scarification, Overseeding, Top Dressing, Pest & Disease Control Treatments and also taking advantage of our Leaf Clearance service.
Winter Blast
Our Winter Blast Treatment is often Applied from December to February, but like all of our Treatments they are Tailored to suit the conditions and the Lawn or Sports Turf we are caring for.

Just like us, our Grass likes to be protected from the Winter Elements. During the Winter months various diseases can creep in to our Turf as Soil Temperatures plummet and Turf is frozen or damp.
​
This is why we at Shire Lawns like to apply a Treatment that is effectively putting a coat on the Lawn or Sports Turf and wrapping it up until Spring.
​
This Winter Blast Treatment not only protects the Lawn or Sports Turf from common diseases but will also target any Moss as well as Hardening the Turf. A Foliar Feed that targets the leaf to help strengthen the grass and control any moss.
​
Seaweed is also used in our Winter Blast Treatment. Our Seaweed Treatment is a naturally sustainable source of Seaweed will help unlock any trapped nutrients from your soil, increases root mass and microbial activity, reduces effects of plant stress and is 100% selected Ascophyllum nodosum (Kelp) from clean Atlantic waters.
